Attention MA voters!

In November, Massachusetts voters will be asked to vote on several referendums. Of these, the one I'm most concerned about is Question 1 - the income tax question.

Repeal the income tax? What a great idea, you might think. More money in my pocket means more money for me to spend which means more money helping our economy grow.

FALSE!

The income tax question is a reckless proposal that will have severe and immediate consequences for Massachusetts residents. This binding referendum will take more than $12 billion — nearly 40 percent — out of the state budget, driving up local property taxes and leading to drastic cuts in services. This is BAD! Our communities will suffer sweeping education cuts, steep reductions in public safety personnel and further deterioration of roads and bridges. Times are hard enough. Let’s not make them worse.
